The lead and the inspiration behind the company comes from the EDI-CIC Director, Nigel Lee. In 2022, Nigel became disabled and although is working on rehabilitation, is currently wheel chair bound. Not deterred by this, during his rehabilitation in hospital and care homes, he helped many of the patients and residents getting to grips with their smart phones, , tables and other devices and this became the inspiration behind Elderly Digital Inclusion CIC.

Nigel has a diverse background managing many companies in the international business markets and working in security function as well as Senior manager and director roles. He worked for many years for AWS (Amazon Web Services) in data centre security in the middle east and Europe. Aside form his vast experience in business management,  security and resilience, Nigel also holds diplomas in Cyber Security Operations that focuses on the risks and threats in todays digital age as well as  GDPR & Data Protection ensuring personal information is kept safe and secure, and many other related certifications.
